The brief

This leading intellectual property firm initially needed a mechanism for creating complex proposals for a wide range of client sectors, in MS Word. Whilst developing a flexible tool for this requirement, the consensus emerged that their brand was not reflecting their forward thinking, industry leading positioning or appealing to a younger, Start-up audience. We were asked to bring the brand up to date.

Our answer

The branding was updated by stripping the heavy and conservative blue and burgundy logo down to its key elements, extenuating the dynamic diagonal line and thoroughly reviewing all the colours.

GJE rebranding guidelines

The toolkit was received so well, we were then asked to integrate the new brand into all company stationery, presentation documents, event collateral, emails and a completely new website.

The website was redesigned to direct traffic from a wide variety of sectors towards the relevant information and the team responsible for helping them. We moved the firm away from the stuffy old school legal realm into a more contemporary, people-focussed positioning.

There was a special section for recruitment created with its own branding and interactive infographics to help illustrate what it is like to work at GJE.

To help explain the legal business consulting concept to a successful, but not necessarily legal savvy audience, we developed an animation to walk them through the process of their Consult IP service.
