The brief

The Irish Sea is one of the most fiercely contested ferry markets around. We have maintained Stena Line’s market leading position since 2012, keeping their marketing and comms fresh, exciting and enticing.

Our answer

Wanderlust Wednesday kept land-lockdown former passengers engaged with the brand, by promoting destinations. We whetted the traveller’s appetite with gorgeous images of wonderful places that were only a short ferry ride away.

Extra is Stena Line’s loyalty programme which we promoted with pop ups in the online booking process. Fun visuals with cut out shapes would state how many points you could have just earned if you were a member and that it wasn’t too late to still get them!

We’ve launched ships, promoted sales, strengthened branding and in between, just kept the conversation going. In this competitive world, we present Stena Line as the first choice for service, while also not shying away from an offer or two.

A large part of the job is grabbing attention, so animation is a regular feature on social and email. However generic the message, a bright, fun, moving bit of entertainment always increases uptake.

Competitions work: people get involved, engagement goes up and loyalty is earned. We promoted Stena Line’s Scandinavian roots with graphic and multi-lingual, icons of Swedishness. Taking over social media, the strong graphic and colours were a hit and the sense of fun helped get the message across with a smile.

“What makes Lime truly unique, for Stena, is their relationship with copywriting and design – and how the two work together to create campaigns that make you take notice. They are a delight to work with!”
