trick or treat
    Don’t you dread it?
Hiding behind the curtains with the lights off,
hoping they just go away?
Us too! Bah humbug…

On the inevitable slide towards Christmas we hit the ghoulish, gothic, strange little rag-bag of a holiday that is Halloween; a celebration of death and sugar, what a fabulous combination I hear you cry! Hordes of hyper little-people disguised as vegetables and witches roam the darkness, demanding sweets & treats and menacing the neighbourhood on an annual ritual that leaves us wishing we were in the Maldives instead.

Lime’s top anti trick or treat tips for the gloomy amongst you…

Leave a big empty sweet bag or tin at your front gate making them think they missed it all hours ago

Splatter a small amount of red food dye on your doorstep and leave a drip-trail leading to your bins

Replace your doorbell ring with the recording of a vicious dog barking and snarling - throw cushions at the inside of the front door for added effect!

Chalk a big pentagram on your front step

Leave an abandonded pair of children's shoes on your front door step

Tape the front door up with Police 'crime scene' tape

For the rest of the year, we’re really much nicer we promise.
Roll on Bonfire Night!
